Immigrant charged with rape of 8-year-old girl
Police: Suspect could not prove legal residency

An undocumented immigrant was charged with the molestation of an 8-year-old girl earlier this week, according to a Murfreesboro Police arrest report made available for public inspection Wednesday.

Mario P. Perez, who is originally from Mexico but was residing at an apartment at 736 E. Northfield Blvd. at the time of his Monday arrest, was charged with two counts of rape of a child and one count of aggravated sexual battery following an investigation by Murfreesboro police Detective Tommy Roberts. Roberts investigates crimes against children and the elderly.

"There were allegations that Mario Perez had molested an 8-year-old female victim," Roberts reported. "I contacted DCS (Tennessee Department of Children's Services) and requested the victim be interviewed. Carrie Niederhauser, a DCS case manager, responded to the police department and interviewed the victim."

The girl told Niederhauser and Roberts that Perez had engaged in unwanted sexual intercourse with her, according to a police report.

Roberts later interviewed Perez at the Murfreesboro Police Department.

"Mr. Perez could not provide any legal documentation that showed his age," Roberts reported. "He stated he was 24. He also had a locally made ID that he had purchased which showed he was 24."

Perez was arrested by Roberts "based on the investigation and statements made by Mr. Perez," according to the report. He was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on $41,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 12.

Murfreesboro Police spokesman Kyle Evans told The DNJ Perez is not related to the victim.

Perez resided about a mile from a daycare and childhood education center at the time of his arrest, but police say they don't believe the daycare is "involved in any way."

"No more victims are believed to be involved with this case at this time," Evans said.

I am not saying anything about him being undocumented, I just posted what it said. You are right all rapists are scum and IMO should be bent over in a field and let a bull have at them.

cut his manhood off and transplant it to his forehead. A few rapists walking around like that will certainly deter others from doing such a horrible thing to a child.

Documented or undocumented, all rapists should be deported to some **** hole where they have to fend for themselves.

Most of them don't do it for a sexual thing, it's a mental problem and mental satisfaction.

No, not "they", he did it. They come here and mind their own business, work jobs we don't work and never do anything like this...scum, illegal or not, do this. Problem #1 with America, we lump people together.

If he doesn't have any priors, then that's kind of useless huh? Our "system" is horrible, which is why people come here by jumping fences. What about the rest of the scum here, that are almost always legal citizens? He would have probably done this in Mexico if he was there, trading an 8 year old mexian girl for this girl doesn't make it any better.

He was already here illegally and he raped an 8 year old while he was here illegally.

If the freak ever gets out on parole (which I hope not), then send him back to wherever he came from.
